A website is a collection of web page, image, audio, video and other digital information stored on a web server that can be accessed via Internet or LAN. At present, there are currently more than 1.17 billion websites in the world. Regularly we visit many websites for various needs throughout the day. But have you ever visited the world’s oldest website?
The world’s oldest website describes some of the basic features of the web world and gives instructions on how to create a server.
The world’s first website was launched in France on August 6, 1991 as part of the World Wide Web project, initiated by Tim Berners-Lee and his company Next Computer.
Not only the website is still up and running, the interesting thing is that the site is still in its opening look.
Have you ever opened the world’s first website? Lets open the site. (http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html)
Still today, the website remains the same as the appearance of the website.
