Google Doodle Celebrate Pohela Boishakh Bangla New Year 1422

Pohela Boishakh is celebrated as the first day of the Bengali calendar. Generally Bengali people live mostly in Bangladesh & Kolkata (India). Bangla New Year observed on April 14 (Bangladesh) and on April 15 (India). Here Pohela means ‘first’ day and Boishakh means first month of new Bengali calendar.

This year, Google Doodle also celebrate the Bangla New Year 1422 with special doodle on Bangladesh Google home page.

This Google Doodle shows traditional Bengali life. The two “O”s of Google represent Bengali haat pakhas. It is like hand folded fans. The second fan is embroidered with ‘শুভ নববর্ষ ১৪২২’ (Shubho Noboborsho 1422) meaning ‘Happy Bangla New Year 1422’.
