AdSense for feeds is one of the popular service among web publishers. It helps to earn by placing targeted Google ads in their feeds. AdSense for feeds works same like other AdSense program works. It delivers ads that are relevant to your content. You can earn from  feed ads by two ways: click & impression.

But the shocking news is that after December 3, 2012 AdSense for feeds service will be stopped and you’ll no longer see feed units in your My ads tab.

Recently adsense authority send email to all Adsense publishers on Upcoming retirement of AdSense for feeds. Here they brief everything:

Starting December 3, 2012, we’ll discontinue serving ads via AdSense for feeds on RSS feeds and you’ll no longer see feed units in your My ads tab. To check if you’re currently generating any revenue from AdSense for feeds, visit your “Products” performance report and look for recent data for “AdSense for feeds”.

Please note that reporting on your feed ad units will remain available following the product retirement. FeedBurner URLs powered by Google will continue to function, but will no longer serve ads. As a result, it won’t be necessary to redirect your subscribers to different URLs or to take any other action in your account.

Rest assured, this upcoming change won’t affect the availability of other AdSense products that you’re currently using.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Important information about AdSense for feeds Payment:

Your AdSense for feeds units will continue to accrue earnings until December 3, when they will stop showing ads on your RSS feeds. As of the last day of December 2012, your earnings will be finalized as usual. At this point, one of the following will apply:

  • If your earnings exceed the payment threshold, your account will be sent for approval for payment, and payments will be issued through the standard AdSense payment process.
  • If your earnings do not exceed the payment threshold, but you use other AdSense products, your AdSense for feeds earnings will be accrued toward payment in a future period when your AdSense account does exceed the payment threshold.
  • If your earnings do not exceed the payment threshold and you don’t use other AdSense products then the amount of accrued earnings from your AdSense for feeds units will remain as a balance in your AdSense account for as long as your account is open.

Yeah, I got the same email too. But since few months the adsense is becoming useless to earn money. Now they pay very small share for a click even from US, UK. So no point of wasting time on adsense.
