Wikipedia is the best encyclopedia ever we have seen. Previously we know about Britannica & Encarta Encyclopedia. But Wikipedia beats all these Encyclopedia by adding huge resources in all category as well as in all languages.

The Encyclopedia Britannica published by Encyclopedia Britannica authority. It is fully English-language based encyclopedia. It is regarded as one of the best scholarly of English language encyclopedias.


Microsoft Encarta was a digital multimedia encyclopedia published by Microsoft Corporation fully written on English version, Encarta Premium has 62,000 articles, thousands of photos and illustrations, music clips, videos, interactive contents, timelines, maps & atlas and homework tools. It is available for both offline & online visitors. Offline visitors can watch it by buying DVD or multiple CDs.

But by the rise of Wikipedia, these 2 encyclopedia lost its popularity.

Wikipedia is a free, multilingual Internet encyclopedia supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Wikipedia was launched in January 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger. At present, it has 22 million articles in different languages. Every article can be edited by any user by signing in. Now, It is the largest and most popular reference guide for all ages. By reading the statistics, you can understand its popularity.  According to Alexa, it ranks sixth globally and 365 million readers visited this site. A report said that Wikipedia receives 2.7 billion monthly page views from the United States alone. If you are Chrome user, you can check any word easily with Chrome Extension.


No more boring lesson. Today I’ll share a small but handy tips by which you can download every single Wikipedia article in detailed pdf format with picture, graph chart etc.

Lets follow the process:

Suppose you want to know an information on blog from Wikipedia.

When the article opened in Wikipedia, look in the left side.

There is a word written Print/export.

Click it.

You’ll see there are 3 options:

  • Create a book
  • Download as PDF
  • Printable Version

Click Download as PDF.

It will shift to another page.

In the upper side you’ll see rendering in progress automatically.

Wait for a sec.

The page will automatically refresh & you see that Rendering finished.

Click Download the file.

It will immediately download as PDF format.

Mission accomplished :)

Now a days Wikipedia is a great source for researchers as well as students. So most of us copy the article by just selecting the article lines. In this way no images can be selected. If we need to save the picture we need to copy picture in a separate way. But luckily, I got the process how to download whole Wikipedia article with images & articles :)
