WOT (Web of Trust) helps net users which websites are reliable for safe surfing on the web.
The WOT Chrome Extension works as a safe surfing tool for your browser. Traffic light rating symbols show which websites Internet surfers trust for safe surfing and searching on the web: Green light for secure websites, yellow light for suspicious websites and red light for potentially dangerous websites. These web sites are rated according to user only, so you can add up to the community too while surfing.
The WOT add-on shows reputation ratings next to search results when you use Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and many other search engines. Links in social sites like Facebook and Twitter, along with shortened URLs are covered too. Your online email account – Google Mail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail is also protected.
WOT is available for Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera.

WOT was one of my favorite extensions. But these days Google itself shows which is a trustworthy link and which is not, so not using WOT these days.
