Facebook account is operated through email. When we open an account in Facebook, we use any email to open it. But next time if we want to change it, we can’t do it due to unknown process.
Today I’ll share e-mail change process.
Login Facebook Account
Click on Facebook Account Setting.
Click Edit in Email panel.
Click Add Another Email.
Write new email in New Email box.
You need to add your Facebook password to confirm you are the user of
this account.
Click Save Changes.
Now a new mail will send to your email account. When you click that particular mail link, the new mail will be added to your Facebook account. Now select primary mail by which you want to log in your Facebook account & click Remove other mail. That’s all.

just a three or four days ago i changed my Facebook email address because the email i previously using is also the same i was using in my SEO and marketing purposes. that is why i separate my mail address for Facebook and other official works.
You did exactly right thing. Now a days lots of sites hacked due to same password. So it is better to have individual password
