If you enjoy browsing through online tech videos on your Mac then from time to time you may come across certain videos that you want to save so that you can watch them later on. Of course most websites don’t supply you the means to save or download online streaming videos – but don’t let that stand in your way. By using Movavi Screen Capture for Mac you can record and save any tech video from any website – directly from your screen.

Because Movavi Screen Capture for Mac is so easy to use, it isn’t that hard to set it up to save any tech video that you want. All you need to do is launch the video capture software for Mac and then:

  1. Click ‘Record screen’ in the main menu.
  2. Draw a capture frame over the website video that you want to record using the mouse cursor.
  3. Make sure the ‘System Audio’ icon is highlighted in green and click on it once if it isn’t.
  4. Press ‘REC’ to start recording and hit play on the website video at the same time.
  5. Press ‘Stop’ once the video is finished, then click ‘Save as’ to save it.

Rather than manually starting and stopping the recording, you could use the schedule feature in Movavi Screen Capture for Mac to set a specific time to automatically do so. Alternatively you could make use of the timer to stop the recording after a certain duration, or use the hotkeys if you want to be able to simply tap a button on your keyboard to control it.
