WordPress is the best platform for blogging. I already shared lots of useful plugin. Today I’ll share WP-CopyProtect plugin. It will protect your blog content from getting copied.
Some of my fellow bloggers tell that their articles are copied by others. What is the solution? I suggest them WP-CopyProtect plugin is the best solution. Just enable this plugin & see what happens.
It has following features:
- Protect your blog content from getting copied. A simple plug-in developed to stop the Copy cats. So that no one can simply copy and paste the content of your blog in there blog or site.
- Disable selection of text
- Disable right click on your blog. (Disable right click with popup message or without popup message.)
- It will not affect SEO. Search engines can read your content without any problem.
Please note:
- Both disable right click and disable selection of text can be switch ON or OFF through Settings menu.
- You must enable the options from WP-CopyProtect settings page after installing the plugin, to enable the protection to your blog.

You are absolutely right. One can’t direct copy-paste the article but still he can save the article by writing or typing.

This is a good idea, but I think it might annoy your regular readers if they cannot click select any text.
For example, sometimes people like to copy part of the text from the article so that they can paste it in comments and refer to it, however now, they have to go back and forth between the article and the comment box to type it.
Another thing is that usually people that steal your articles are people that don’t just steal 1 articles at a time but hundreds of articles on the fly by programming a bot that will read the HTML of your WordPress posts, which means that the plugin will not be able to stop those bots since they can read your posts internally from WordPress.
It’s a good idea, but it needs to be designed a little bit better so it doesn’t annoy your readers.

Thanks for sharing such a resourceful comment. I also agree with your point. For regular readers, it will be useless to use. Readers & commentators are the heart of a site. Mostly bloggers use this plugin to restrict other bloggers from copying. But as you said they use programming language to copy the articles so I think this plugin should need to upgrade to protect copying articles from 3rd party. Again thanks

Another great way which i am using on my blog to protect it from cppy bloggers is by changing the text select color to background color so that when ever some one selects the text he will not see any selection.
