I already lots of popular WordPress plugins. Here is another one. SEO Tag Cloud Widget displays the tag cloud in a SEO-friendly way, using a search engine optimized html markup.

I personally don’t use tag clouds since they tend to look way too cluttered and messy for my taste. By the way, I noticed that you mentioned in your blog post that you’re using this, but I don’t see a tag cloud here in your blog.
